In Sanskrit, the word ‘yoga’ translates to ‘union’ or ‘connection’. Yoga allows us to connect to the intuitive, creative part of ourselves, and get back to who we really are. Yoga aims to quiet the mind and explore the Self.


The physical side of Yoga helps to increase flexibility and strength through a series of postures named 'Asanas'. However Yoga is so much more than a physical workout. Breathing exercises (Pranayama), relaxation and mindfulness are very much a part of Yoga practice, and are incorporated into our classes. With this combination, the student is able to experience calmness, clarity and self-awareness.
