In Sanskrit, the word ‘yoga’ translates to ‘union’ or ‘connection’. Yoga allows us to connect to the intuitive, creative part of ourselves. The practice of Yoga enables us to tune in to our body and calm a restless mind.


The physical side of Yoga helps to increase mobility and strength through a series of postures named 'Asanas'. However Yoga is more than a physical workout. Breathing exercises, (Pranayama) relaxation and mindfulness are very much a part of Yoga practice, and are incorporated into our classes. With this combination, the student is able to experience calmness, clarity and self-awareness.
